I get it, winter’s tough. The temperature is unforgiving to you, the falling snow is unforgiving to your camera equipment. It can be a long couple of seasons if your plan is to barricade yourself into your home and not emerge until Spring.
We photographers are a mobile breed, hibernating is simply not in our nature. So what can you do with your camera in these frigid months while you wait for color to return to your ecosystem? Thankfully, Light Stalking has compiled a list of photography subjects that are especially photogenic in the winter months. Things like the road you take to work every morning can be completely transformed by a simple dusting of snow.
Other unique ideas include capturing the holiday spirit or frosty windows, subjects that don’t even require you to go outdoors!
